Become a VISION USA Provider

VISION USA, administered by Optometry Cares – The AOA Foundation is a philanthropic program that provides basic eye health and vision services at no cost to low-income, uninsured families who cannot afford routine eye care.

How does the program work?

  • Volunteer optometrists from the American Optometric Association donate services.
  • Local community outreach agencies validate eligibility and income levels and submit applications on behalf of the needy in your community.
  • VISION USA staff assign applicants to a participating optometrist for an examination.

Due to the generosity of AOA member optometrists, more than 433,000 lives have been positively impacted since the inception of the program in 1991.

The VISION USA program cannot function unless we care enough to help our neighbors. Consider joining 2,800 AOA member volunteers in participating in VISION USA and make a dramatic difference in the lives of those who are in the greatest need of your expertise. You will see the rewards, both in your practice and in the improved health of your community.
