Want to Start a Scholarship?

Support for scholarship grants is one of the most important investments you can make in the present and future success of optometry students. Scholarships make it possible for qualified applicants to attend optometry school and achieve their fullest potential, regardless of their personal financial means.

Optometry Cares’ scholarship grants come from two primary sources: 1) income from endowed scholarship funds and 2) annual gifts directed to scholarship programs.

The minimum amount required to establish an annual scholarship is $2,500. Scholarship donors are recognized on the Honor Roll of Giving and the naming of an annual scholarship offers a unique way to acknowledge your philanthropic support of optometric education.

If interested in establishing an annual named scholarship, please e-mail the Foundation, and a staff member will contact you.

If you are interested in applying for one of the scholarship grants, contact the Foundation for more information.

Your investment will ensure that The AOA Foundation continues to provide immediate relief to those in need in the wake of natural disasters, vision care to needy Americans, scholarships for optometry students, preservation of optometry’s history and public education about the need for a lifetime of vision care.
